My Students

At the Mark Twain Intermediate School for the Gifted and Talented, our students are hard-working, musically astute, and voracious learners.

Now, more than ever, we need to foster creativity, empathy and cultural literacy through music!

Music teaches our students to imagine, innovate, collaborate and respond with wonderment and awe, and to respect the artistic contributions of all cultures. They love and need music. They soak it up every chance they get. Whether it’s posting performances to FlipGrid, preparing solos for high school auditions or playing in school with their friends, these are kids that have a deep connection to music. Now, more than ever, they need your support to take their music education to the next level.

My Project

The vibraphone and marimba would be heaven for our piano, percussion and music enrichment students. They would add so much character and depth to our Winds program, and with their place in world history, they would make our classroom an even more culturally responsive place.

You can make a difference by providing our students with the opportunity to learn from these great musical treasures.

These kids represent the future of music and with this equipment, who knows what they might create? Imagine the next great jazz vibraphonist or a future marimba concerto winner. You can help make it happen!
