This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from all over the world and are eager to learn. I teach students who are primarily learning English as a second language! My students work SO HARD!

Like all kids, my students deserve an equal opportunity of high quality education.

My school is also a Title I school- almost 99 percent of my students receive free lunch. Some of my students come from generations of poverty. I want to give my students the resources for the education they deserve to help them build a better life.

My Project

My students need headphones to help them focus during virtual learning! Many of my students have siblings doing online learning in the background of our classes. They are distracted by other teachers giving lessons and siblings participating in their classes. When I ask them to read aloud, there are so many noises in the background I know it is sometimes hard for them to focus.

These headphones will help our 5th graders cancel out the background noise in their homes to focus on their learning.

Majority of my students can not afford to purchase these for themselves. I would love to provide them to each student as a gift.
