Help me give my students access to technology. 98% of our students are economically disadvantaged in our Title I school. Having tablets will help with integrating educational technology to stimulate their learning in many ways.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
98% of our students are economically disadvantaged in our Title I school. We are in the 4th largest city in the country, but my students get forgotten about or overlooked. Having a class set of tablets will help stimulate their learning in many ways. Research, experiences, videos, communication capabilities are just a few ways tablets could equal the field for my kids.
I tell my students all the time, "The future of the world is in my classroom." They deserve to have the best future possible.
The ability to use electronic platforms allows them to learn at an individualized pace for each student. They will have access to productivity tools, enabling them to gather and learn information efficiently, especially since we do not have a usable library on our campus. Tablets could really open the world to my students.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
