My students need a 3Doodler in order to further explore engineering, art and design using technology.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Alcaraz's classroom raised $759
This project is fully funded
Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is located a few miles away from a large metropolitan city. My students' families are working class and usually both parents work. The families in our community are very involved and want the best for the children and trust the teachers at our school wholeheartedly.
My students are enthusiastic 6th graders who truly enjoy working in groups and using technology.
They are very inquisitive and persistent in finding answers. Although they use technology, they are mostly consumers, while the goal is to make them producers -such as creating their own apps and programming robots.
My Project
Too often, science becomes an abstract idea to my students because it is difficult to grasp the concepts they are reading about in their science book. Other times we our class does not have enough materials for students to get a rich, hands on experience in the math lesson. This creates a classroom full of bored and uninterested students.
The 3Doodler will give my students great hands on and real life experiences with design and engineering.
The 3Doodle will bring their designs to life, encouraging my students to create and design! This tool will help my students in seeing themselves as true designers and engineers.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
