My Students

I have the great pleasure of teaching 24 kindergarten students who are eager to learn and explore the world around them. Some of these students include special needs students, as well as English Language Learners. However, my students come from many different backgrounds, which sometimes makes it difficult for students to be exposed to grade-level content at home. Students come from homes that are unable to provide basic supplies, not to mention school supplies. Some of my students may even experience being homeless during the school year.

I teach in a Title I school and 65% of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch.

My Project

Kindergarten graduation is a special time in which parents, family and friends come together to celebrate. I want my students to have the opportunity to feel proud of their accomplishments and be excited about their future academic experiences.

The future is bright and full of opportunity.

Providing my kindergarten students a graduation party will bring families together and foster academic success for years to come. A graduation cap and gown will provide me the opportunity to create a photo keepsake for parents and students to look back on as they grow. With the party materials we will be able to turn our classroom into a place where children are being celebrated and making memories with their families and peers.
