This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The great thing about a book series is that the joy of reading never ends; you get to follow the character(s) you became infatuated with in book one on many more adventures.

The best way to get a middle schooler reading is to get them hooked on a series!

Right now, my students are obsessed with "The Silver Eyes" horror genre. They love the books and the graphic novels. The books are so popular that the library has a back order on copies and I can't keep the two I have on the shelves. Having the full set of chapter books and graphic novels and a variety of other series would allow my students more opportunities to read the books they are interested in and would help me to continue to foster their love for reading.

My hope is that once students see the perks of reading a series they will branch out into other series and the fun will never end!
