My Project
I am wanting to add some more sensory and fine motor activities into my classroom. Littles need lots of fine motor activities to prepare their hands to hold a pencil. Also, littles have big emotions, and sensory items can help ease these big feelings.
These materials will help build their confidence in fine motor by allowing them to use easier scissors that will help them open and close them.
The hole punch and Play Doh will help develop my students' hand muscles and to become stronger. The lacing cards will give my students hand-eye coordination practice as well as pincer grasp skills.
The first 5 years are the most important in a child's life. Developing these important skills can benefit a child transitioning to kindergarten.
