Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We are from a title one school in East Los Angeles. We are in our third year of APES. Lincoln students have a passion for learning and are yearning for more opportunities to do so. One of our mission and vision statements is that students are to graduate with skills in technology. We are also a math science technology science magnet center. Unfortunately the technology that we have are very outdated and slow. We would benefit greatly from more up to date technology that is versatile for student projects.
My Project
AP students will be winding down the last months of the year with their study materials.
The Environmental Science textbooks and supplementary books will be good references that are more up to date than what we have as current textbooks.
The flash cards as they prepare for their exam.
They will also be working in study groups and break out sessions reviewing concepts they learned and summarizing concepts, making concept maps, and review sheets for crunch time. Dry erase markers are a great way to share ideas quickly and diagram science concepts. These materials will be reusable and will benefit the study sessions greatly.
