My Project

This project will allow students to create hands-on arts and crafts in social studies class, studying how goods of the past were hand-made. What a way to connect to the past and bring history to life through Economics and Civics! Through the use of hands-on resources including fabric and fabric glue, students will work to understand the economics of the past, when hand-made goods were essential for the economy, by actually creating their own goods.

Financial education is present all around us, even within the past; this project helps students connect to that economic past!

Making historical connections makes economics, personal finance, civics, and social studies real and relatable for students.
