This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are hardworking and motivated. However, often we lack basic materials to make our learning easier. There are so many things we take for granted in our lives, but to a classroom it turns out to be essential. Basic things such as a good working pencil sharpener increases productivity in a classroom. Facial tissues are a necessity in a classroom with children.

Folders, glue sticks, scissors and pencils are all critical supplies that not all of my students can afford.

My students unfortunately, don't have these supplies at home and these supplies have become quite costly for families that are struggling to put food on their tables.

When students have what they need, they feel confident to be in school and don't feel outcast for not having a simple scissor or a sharpened pencil. Please help me give my students basic supplies so that they can focus on learning and becoming a successful student.
