Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We absolutely love the curiosity and resilience of our students. Each day, they arrive eager to learn, despite the challenges they face as newcomers to the language. Their diverse backgrounds and perspectives enrich our classroom, creating a vibrant community where everyone can grow together.
This project seeks to establish "The English Lab," equipping our ELD classrooms with ready-to-use computers.
With only 30 minutes for instruction, every minute counts. Instead of having students carry Chromebooks across the school and wasting time logging in and out, they will have immediate access to technology right where they need it. This will make a significant difference, especially since many of our students lack technology at home and need every moment to practice and improve their English skills.
Our goal is to create an inviting, efficient learning environment that fosters engagement and success for all newcomers and multilingual learners. By providing these resources, we can ensure that every student has the tools they need to thrive in their language journey. Together, we can empower our students to unlock their full potential!
