Fostering a unified classroom environment, we are individuals on different paths...
My students are amazing young individuals, eager to learn.
They love a hands-on, focused, environment. They question. They wonder. They inspire. Every day my students teach me something new. Something about learning, relationships, individuality, life, and of course growth.
Our school is in a small town, with beautiful ocean and mountain views. There is quite a mix here and we, as teachers, must be resourceful in our ways. It is an elementary and middle school with a great deal of learning in every nook and cranny.
My Project
I am requesting these balance balls chairs for focused engagement. We have chairs of multiple sizes, some too small, some too big. They are uncomfortable and lack the structure for engaged learning. The research shows these ball chairs facilitate learning. There are some students who are unable to just "sit still". These balance ball chairs allow students an outlet to "fidget" while remaining engaged in their lesson or activity. These balance balls channel their energy in a positive way.
These donations will help greatly.
We do not have a large budget, and as much as I would love to purchase these items on my own, it does get costly. I am hoping to create a more hands-on, focused, learning environment with the help of everyone at Donors Choose. My students' lives will be forever changed as school will become a positive experience. They will embrace who they are as individuals while absorbing academic material.
