This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our elementary is a 3rd through 8th grade elementary school. This year we are offering in-class and online options to our students. We educate about 500 students.

I am currently teaching sixth grade with four other amazing teachers.

We have a great mix of students who come from a variety of backgrounds. They are creative, thoughtful, and eager to learn.

We are a Title I school. Students come from varied backgrounds with most coming from a low socioeconomic bracket; however, they do not let this affect their creativity.

My Project

The Endangereds is a new story about a groupd of endangered animals who are brought to an island to help save their species. While there some of the animals gain the power of speech and human-like characteristics. They band together to Form the A-Team and make it their mission to save other endangered animals.

Bringing together reading/writing with the study of science is key to helping students become better students.

This engaging new book is a great way to reinforce the ideas of habitats and ecosystems for students. Students get to explore how these animals became endangered and will work on solutions to try to help try to save these animals.
