This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students love being involved in the music programs that we have within the district. Our students have a love for instrumental and vocal music and take pride in their work that they do in music class.
Our students love music and are eager to become successful in music that can relate to their lives and their community.
Many of our students come from low income households where the expense of an instrument is not able to be prioritized. In our schools, we do what we can to provide a well rounded music education that all students are able to benefit from and enjoy.
My Project
Ukulele is an instrument in which our students can learn how to be lifelong music makers. It is relate-able to their personal interests and can assist them in playing their favorite songs. Not only is playing the ukulele fun for students but it is also a great way for them to enhance their musical abilities and skills and can be used for a very educational device throughout the duration of their musical education.
A Ukulele program will give students the opportunity to learn an instrument, compose their own music, play their favorite songs and express themselves creatively.
I am very passionate in the pursuit of affording our students this stupendous musical learning opportunity.
