As a teacher, my primary goal is to provide quality instruction that grabs the students' attention and interest. My first grade students LOVE to sit on the reading rug and listen to me read countless stories, ranging the spectrum of all genres.
Unfortunately, the teaching easel I had before was either taken or misplaced. Without this easel, we have nowhere to prop up our big books during story time. With the school budget being drastically cut, there are no funds available to replace this easel.
The teaching easel is a teacher's dream come true! It has a magnetic wipe board on both sides, great for class discussions and language arts extension activities. Also, there is a nice ledge for propping books, so that all students can view the pages as I read to them. There is a shelf below for storage and best of all, it's on wheels, which makes the entire easel accessible to everyone.
Your help will enable my students to have all the supplies necessary to make story time and all other language lessons more enjoyable. It also is a great tool that I can use to build interest, extend lessons, and have discussion with my students.
