This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our girls' locker room is in dire need of a picker-upper makeover. I would love to paint our restroom doors and add some inspirational quotes to remind our girls to make the most of their day. Our girls are at a very sensitive age. Middle school can be hard to navigate. All the girls that enter the locker room are special in their own unique way. Sometimes they forget though. I truly believe bringing some color into the locker room will give them a boost in confidence and mood. The best part of this, is some of the girls that will be using the locker room will be the ones helping put together these murals and quotes. This would definitely be a beautiful surprise they can return to next school year. We plan to get this done over the summer. This will also be a great bonding experience for the girls helping bring this to life.
