My students need new art supplies such as watercolors, Dot Art Painters, and glitter painters. I strive to provide them with the opportunity to use many different forms of art materials. I also love being able to display their wonderful art throughout the classroom.

My Students
I teach 18 energetic Kindergarten students who come from a wide range of cultural backgrounds and experiences. I have some students from low income families, some who receive free/reduced lunch, and others who have a Student Success Team. We come from a small school, but we have a big heart.
When my students began Kindergarten, it was the beginning of a new world as this is their first experience in a classroom setting.
My students love to dance, do art projects, and experience learning through hands-on activities. They get so excited when they realize they have learned something new and can spot certain letters or words in books they look through. My students love seeing video clips and pictures related to the things they are learning in class.
My Project
Kindergarten students love to create things. When I begin to explain an art project and bring out art supplies, their eyes light up because they get to be artists.
This project would provide my students with different kinds of art supplies that will spark their creativity and give the opportunity of creating something unique.
When doing art projects, the students may believe they are simply having fun getting to paint. But, what they don't realize is that they are also improving their fine motor movements, learning about different textures, gaining sensory input, as well as taking risks and allowing their minds to wander into free expression. My students will use the watercolor paints to do themed art projects and they can added touches of glitter with the glitter paint. They will be able to fill in dot worksheets with the Dot Art Painters to create picture scenes, and I will be able to hang their art on my walls with the art clips. I only have a few bulletin boards; therefore, the clips will be beneficial for using on a wire strung across the wall to display their work.
