Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a health aide at a new magnet K-8 school but have been a health aide for seven years. Over the years since Covid I have had several students who come to the clinic when they have anxiety and have the symptoms and can't separate the difference. Sometimes our counselor is busy with meetings or other students so they just need a safe space.

Since this is a new school we do not have much in the health office and do not have it in the budget.

I want my students to feel like they can always come to the clinic when needed. Many students have headaches, stomach aches, breathing issues which brings on asthma. Anxiety is very real and I have seen high numbers since Covid. I would use all my supplies to help them cope with this. Sometimes they just need a 5 minute break I would use all of the supplies I have requested. Please help me make a safe Dino Space for our Discovery kiddos.
