My Students
Due to the coronavirus our schools set up a student call and check in center for our students to ensure that they are able to complete their online assignments. We soon found out that it was not realistic for some seniors and special needs students to maintain their level of success because they did not have access to reliable technology. The virtual experiences for some urban students are virtual nightmares.
My Project
These materials will make a huge difference in determining whether some of my senior and special needs students will be able to be equipped for college, participate and complete their course work virtually and online college platforms such as Google Classroom Google Meeting, Zoom, Webex, Screen Castify, and Blackboard.
Our school district is a Title I district and many seniors and special needs students did not get a technological device to take home because there were not enough available.
This technology shortage is preventing students from engaging, participating, and completing their course work.
