This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The use of Sensory toys are used almost as a daily activity in my classroom, especially in math/ELA. Using the sensory materials during the calming section in the class will come in handy when students display behavioral concerns. What becomes a program is the fact that students enjoy holding tactile materials during lessons as they display a need for them in order to focus. Students sometimes leave the rug and wonder around the classroom, and having a sensory toy will keep them focused.
By donating to our clam spot project you will not only improve student focus but increase their attention and contribute to their academic achievements.
