My students need to drink more water. Having access to clean drinking water will will encourage healthy habits. There are many benefits of drinking an adequate amount of water every day.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
With their unique needs, minds, potential, language, nature and story, my students all share their love for learning. My Kindergarteners are very eager to solve problems(and make them), but with their "I can" attitude, they're ready to be productive and successful.
My students need to drink more water.
There are many benefits to drinking an adequate amount of water everyday. The brain works best when hydrated. Can you believe that more than half of American children are dehydrated. Water is very important to the body. Without it, you will not survive for long. When you are dehydrated, it causes poor concentration and affects your learning ability.
My Project
We need to get our children drinking more water. Having a water dispenser, paper cups and cup dispenser will provide my students better access to drinking water will increase consumption. When we are dehydrated, we have more difficulty keeping our attention focused. Dehydration effects short-term and long-term memory function. The ability to problem solve is compromised when your fluids are low. Kids spend 50 percent of their waking hours in school, they should drink at least half of their total water intake. With a water dispenser in the classroom, it will be easier to make a healthy choice.
"Studies have shown that if you are only one percent dehydrated, you will likely have a 5 percent decrease in cognitive function.
If your brain drops two percent in body water, you may suffer from fuzzy short-term memory, experience problems with focusing, and have trouble with math computations."
