The Cozy Corner Getaway

Help me give my students a cozy learning environment. By having an inspirational rug, my second graders can have a comfortable environment in which to work independently or take a moment to quiet and calm themselves when needed.

My Project

This inviting area will have a dual purpose for our second grade classroom. Having a calming corner allows my students to self regulate their emotions when they are having a tough moment in their day. The motivational words on the rugs give a daily positive affirmation that their future is indeed in their hands. Reinforcing the need to make positive choices.

The vibrant and cozy floor cushions not only enhance the classroom ambiance but also create inviting seating options for students to engage in reading or focus on independent work.

I would like each student to have their own selection of books, which they can store in the book bins to use at their desks or in our cozy corner. A comfortable and inviting reading area fosters confidence and promotes a positive learning community for my young learners.
