My Project

This year, I want to create the coziest classroom for all my students! At the center of this vision is a large rug for our community gathering space—a place for morning meetings, read alouds, restorative circles, and class discussions. The rug represents togetherness and belonging, helping us start and end our days grounded as a classroom family.

I am working towards creating a classroom that will support students academically and socio-emotionally too.

In addition to flexible seating, I am requesting folders to help children memorialize and organize their work. It will also help them take pride in their work, build responsibility, and have a meaningful portfolio to share with their families throughout the year.

New, engaging books will help us build a strong foundation in literacy and spark a love for reading from day one. Posters and visuals will support classroom structure and reinforce social-emotional skills, providing a consistent and nurturing environment where all students can thrive.
