A little about me / my teaching style: I am a former general Music teacher and still an avid performing artist. I see tremendous connections between music technology and what I am teaching now, computer science. Therefore, I strive to bring these two worlds together in all that I teach!
My Project
I inherited an HP LaserJet Professional CP1020 Series printer when I took the job at the school I work at. It is a lifesaver because it currently resides in my room. This is unusual these days because all printing has moved to 3 or 4 central printers throughout the school building. Therefore, the Career Technology Education department is no longer supporting this device. That means once the existing ink runs dry they will not purchase any additional toner.
This is a perfectly good printer, and it has saved my tail many times as a professional when I've needed to print something out in a hurry and have it in my hands immediately!
It is also avidly used by my students for random projects which helps with regard to productivity and efficiency because they don't have to battle with sending print jobs to one of the centralized printers in the building and retrieve it. This saves time and allows for lesson fluency. I only get 40 minutes a day with my students!
