This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are awesome musicians who are always wanting to practice their instruments. They are very zealous, and they always make sure that I am continuously working to make them better instrumentalists. Through this pandemic, they are still pushing through.

My Project

The come-up is a project built around rebuilding the band program at my school. Since the pandemic, I have lost a few students to other schools. For those who remain, I am using them to recruit elementary students and beginners to the fold of the band. Not knowing who's coming this year is, in all honesty, the biggest fear. Also, being Covid is still an issue, some of the supplies will aid in helping keep clean instruments. Therefore, I'm asking that you all help in my over-preparation so that my students will have everything they need to be awesome instrumentalists. With these materials, students will have reeds and other equipment on hand, without having to pay out-of-pocket every month. Students, at the beginning of the year, will have the opportunity to have supplies, along with their instruments to take home and practice.
