Help me give my students multicultural crayons, colored pencils, paint and paper to accurately represent themselves in their artwork.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Looney's classroom raised $342
This project is fully funded
Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students have never had art class before and have access to very basic supplies with limited color choice. They have never had he chance to accurately represent their skin tones in their artwork. This donation of skin tone crayons, colored pencils, paint and paper will help them to connect to their art, see themselves represented in other works of art, and boost their self confidence as students and artists. They can be proud of their various shades of skin and recognize that everyone, while different, is still the same on the inside.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
