I am requesting these items for the end of year summer fun art projects. These items will help my students fire up and shape their imaginations by engaging in dying and twisting fabric to make fun shapes, spelling their names with paint markers on the fabric, be patient, and create scratch art or play a balance game while the dye dries. My goal is keep my students happy and their imaginations busy as we ease into the end of the year with pretend play and indoor or outdoor summer fun. I love watching my second graders create art using different methods including Play-Doh Tie-dye.
My students attend a Title 1 school where over 90% of the students qualify for free and reduced-price lunch and rarely have the opportunity to express themselves creatively.
My students spend a lot of their time preparing and taking standardized tests and they deserve a creative outlet to express themselves.
