My Project

Since the new movie has released and many students have seen it, I would like to take this opportunity to read The Color Purple with my Juniors this year and in the future. This is a story of a woman’s bravery and resilience in the face of abuse and oppression. It gave voice to women of color like Celie who are often underestimated by society. This is an important book and I am sure my students will engage with the book if they have a physical copy to read in class.
