FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. P.'s classroom raised $470

My Students
My school is in an urban area, and it is classified as a low-performing school due to attendance and low test scores. Our school is able to provide us with some items to create projects; however, resources are limited.
We are learning and growing in our Early Childhood Developmentally Delayed Classroom.
The students in my class have all been diagnosed with a disability. They range in age from 3 to 5. Although there are many activities we struggle with, we enjoy arts and crafts and try to integrate art in every subject.
My Project
In my project I am requesting alphabet stampers, markers, stencils, wipe and write alphabet cards, art smocks, and blank notebooks; these items will let us work on learning our letters in a creative way. By using items they enjoy, the students can create alphabet books using the stamp pads to create words.
The students in my class learn through artful expression.
Since their fine motor skills are still developing, it's difficult for the students to form letters by writing them. When we use paint, stencils, and stamp pads, we give the students an opportunity to form letters, even if their fine motor skills aren't fully developed. The children will improve their literacy skills through art. The learning is engaging and stimulating. The skills learned during these activities will help the students when they enter kindergarten.
