The Climate and Me!

Help me give my students the ability to read, understand and create music. The Master Theory books will enable students to create 32 measures of self-created music that will center around the theme of climate change.

My Project

Music is immensely powerful. It can emotionally move people through intense and memorable ways by listening, creating and performing. Music is effective in getting messages to people, providing opportunities for synergy.

Music is used frequently to teach others about a particular topic.

We want to use music to get the message out about climate change and how we, as human beings, can help. The power of music can help bring a message of hope to those who listen.

At first glance music might seem irrelevant to climate change, but music has been used as a tool to help educate, inspire and alter the behaviors of individuals who listen. Our students will create a song with lyrics, record it and share it with everyone in the school. Our message to save the Earth will be strong.
