This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Each item in my cart was carefully picked to create a space where students can excel. I am placed at a lower income school, and I want to make sure each of my students excel and feel welcomed. I too grew up poor and the best part of my childhood was being at school. I’m 28 years old and I still remember my 2nd grade classroom.

I want to provide a space where students feel welcomed.

Sometimes a student’s only safe space is in their classroom. I want to provide the students with the materials needed to be successful. Each student is unique and deserves a chance as having a successful academic career.
