My Students

Being a first year teacher, I knew it was going to have hardships, but learning to teach in the middle of a pandemic was a brand new ball game. Having students in my class has been the bright light in the middle of a really hard time for not only teachers, but our entire community and nation. These kids know how to bring smiles to my face, even under our masks.

My class is special because they have persevered through the hardships and learning curves that have come with a unique start to the school year.

We started the school year virtually, leaving students, teachers, and families learning how to do school online. The kids have done a phenomenal job learning the in's and out's of learning in a different environment. I feel extremely blessed to have the opportunity to be a part of these kids lives and I hope to make a difference in their path to success.

My Project

Each of these resources will help my students in a specific way. I plan to use these resources for classroom management and also for math lessons. I want my students to have the resources to be help them concentrate when working independently on classwork. The stools and chair bands will help my students meet this goal. Since I am a first year teacher, I don't have a class set of rulers yet. These rulers will provide my students with a tangible way to learn about measurement.
