This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

What keeps our classroom running smoothly and students engaged? Our beautiful Spanish class store, La Bodega!

I love seeing excited hands up to answer questions and contribute observations!

The motivation students get from incentive prizes creates momentum in their learning that leads to increased participation and sparked interests.

The roll of yellow tickets will serve as my classroom currency-- students will earn them and use them to make purchases from the bodega. The students love to purchase jolly ranchers from the store, and more recently, the stretch bands for their desks to serve as a fidget.
