This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our data shows a decline in our schools, I want to foster a positive outlook and mental well-being in my classroom. This is a special ed classroom for high schoolers who read below 3rd grade and come from low-income and single-parent homes.
These books will be perfect to help and build confidence in reading and the snacks will provide them with nourishment and remove any shame of asking for handouts.
Many of my students rely on school food, and having snacks in the class will ensure that hunger is not a factor when it comes to their education.
