The Care Cart; Meeting Their Physical Needs First!

Help me give my students a Care Cart with hygiene products and snacks. I’m a Middle School Counselor and these items are a way to help students feel comfortable coming into my office.

My Project

I’ve been a School Counselor for the last 23 years and I love my job! Middle school is my passion. They don’t know whether to ask for more recess or play it cool. The struggle is real and sometimes meeting their physical needs with a snack, school supply or hygiene product bridges the gap from awkwardness to relationship and trust. This year, I’d like to have an actual “Care cart” that is kept stocked intentionally to work towards being that safe place many of my students need. With so much unrest and strife these days, I want to help relieve some of that off their shoulders.
