This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students love to paint! The watercolor paints and paper will be used to create wonderful works of art and students can explore mixing colors. These materials will introduce my students to a medium they might not have access to outside of school.
Student enthusiasm for the Arts can lead to improved academic performance, and maintains a high level of engagement in other aspects of their school activities including attendance.
These watercolor paints and paper will provide a means to achieve that increase in engagement. This will in turn create positive emotional connections to attending school.
