Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I want to create and provide my students with a safe and nurturing space to express and share their feelings. This place is designated with each student in mind. For students to relax, take a break, and practice calming activities. The goal is to provide a safe and stress-free environment where students can learn to manage their emotions, control their behavior, and alleviate distress. This space will be equipped with soft furnishing, warm lighting, and soothing materials to allow my students to de-escalate. Students will be allowed time to gather their thoughts by writing in their journals.
