This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school have worked so hard this past year in distance learning. Now that students are back to in-person learning, they deserve a welcoming space to help students get the most from what they are learning. The students at our school are kind, hard working, and eager to learn.
My Project
As a school psychologist I strive to provide tools and resources to students to help them academically both in the school and home setting. My classroom may be a designated space for students to learn coping skill and express how they feel. This may be through art, games, and other forms. I would love for my classroom to feel welcoming.
This will help create an environment that is calming, and allow for a mindfulness area.
Such supplies would include art supplies, games, flexible seating, and other sensory materials.
I need your help to create a space for my students that is calming and welcoming. It’s will also help socially and emotionally. My students will have big smiles when they see all the supplies and crafts in the classroom.
