Books are a necessity in education. Literature is best imparted through reading, and in order to read independently, students must have access to the text. This has become a problem in many school systems.
The move to online learning has been fantastic in many ways, but there's nothing quite like opening a new book!
The Call of the Wild is a classic, and a beloved story told many times over. Many of my students have never heard of this tale, much less read it! I would love to give them the opportunity to experience this work of literature in the way it was intended...in a printed novel.
