I am so excited about the new students I will be teaching in September. Our school is a dual-language school with an emphasis on oral language, so I'm pretty excited about the opportunities for discussion. Kids at this school spend a part of their day learning in Mandarin, and they bring such a unique perspective to our work in English Language Arts.
The kids I teach have a wide variety of interests and abilities, and participate in activities after school that include theater, dance, robotics, and speech.
I love the passion and enthusiasm that my students bring to all sorts of educational experiences!
My Project
Hello donors! Thank you for your interest in my project. I am trying to procure yoga blocks for my middle school students, who are still new to yoga and who really need the physical support in their beginner-practice.
With this project, I am hoping to purchase 30 sets of yoga blocks for our yoga class.
We have yoga class every Friday, and many of my students have said it is there favorite time of the week!
Currently, we are using everything from textbooks to paper towel rolls, but these yoga blocks will give them the stability and the safety to continue to practice yoga and mindful movement. It's a vital part of our social and emotional learning this year, and we really appreciate your help. You will be literally supporting our fearless yogis! Thank you so very much!
