Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We were recently featured in the New York Times for having 44 percent of our students in housing crisis.
KIHS is where about 44 percent of students who attended the school over the last four years were homeless at one point.
Our school is a 100% free lunch & Title I school serving new immigrants in the Bronx (NYC), New York. Our kids are amazingly motivated to achieve the American dream. Most of the parents did not finish high school.
My students are future minority engineers! Make their dreams come true. They are hard working and super motivated. All they need is to get to the knowledge and wireless will make that happen.
Please help them in their quest to become future engineers.
My Project
An already built and tested program for learning Python helps the kids learn. Python is a great programming language that can really help my students get great jobs in the future in computer engineering.
When my students learn Python Programming they will have skills that can get them a high paying job right out of high school and even more if they continue on to college.
Help us build those skills! The kids have the motivation they are only missing the tools and chances that this resource could provide. What a great way to leverage learning to create real change.
