My Project
This book vending machine will spark excitement for reading while also encouraging positive school wide behavior. Students will receive tokens as rewards for amazing Cub behavior and for reaching school, classroom, and personal goals. Students will then be able to use their tokens to ¨purchase¨ their very own books from the school book vending machine. It is a way to encourage and reward our students while promoting literacy from our youngest pre-kindergarten cubs all the way through our oldest fourth grade cubs. Students will be excited to choose their very own book they will get to keep and take home. They will then share their books and their enthusiasm with their families and peers.
As a school, we want to send the message to our Cubs that reading is valued and important.
We want to become a literacy community where students are excited and create positive associations with reading. The vending machine will allow the possibility for all of our cubs to take home a book of their own. We hope each book selected will be the beginning of personal libraries for all of our students.
