My Students

I teach at a diverse urban public school in the Boerum Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY. The students at my school are goofy, kind, curious, and eager to learn new things. Our school and neighborhood are extremely diverse both economically and racially.

My first grade students are not only exciting to be around, but they are also some of the most caring, hardworking, and curious first graders who bring their open-mindedness into the classroom each and every day!

As their teacher, I strive every day to motivate my students to achieve their highest potential through reading, writing, math, science, music, and exploration!

My Project

The beloved book fairy will return to our classroom with the class favorite, Who Would Win Series! My students have been enthralled with these books since I brought the basket out for rotation and they haven't returned to the closet since!

This project will bring each student in my class a Who Would Win: Lobster vs Crab book, and deliver a few other Who Would Win books to finish out our collection and book basket!

Our collection is currently lacking the Lobster vs. Crab book and I know students would be overjoyed to have their own copy and share it with their family and friends at home!
