Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are spunky 5 year olds ready to learn! My students consist of mostly immigrant students, were Spanish is their home language . Most of my students have never been to school, never held a pencil, colored a picture, worked on a computer or had a story read to them.
All children deserve a safe and inviting learning environment.
My students and their parents are coming to this country to get a better education and a better lifestyle .
My Project
I am requesting a couch and seating for my students so they will have a comfortable reading area. I want them to have a passion for books, by creating a comfy and inviting reading area.
I want them to grab a book , sit on the couch and drift away with the story!
They can also read a book to their friend who might be struggling with reading or help a friend learn English . By having this inviting reading area in my classroom , I know my students will be willing to go and sit on the comfy couch to read a book.
