it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are energetic and love to learn! They are ready to engage with any challenge that is presented to them. In order to prepare my students for 21st century learning, I create effective and innovative learning experiences integrating technology. Using ISTE Standards (International Society for Technology in Education), my students are ensured that I can effectively utilize technology to enhance student learning and better my teaching practice. However, without proper hardware in the classroom, such as durable wired audio headsets, my students cannot even begin building their technology competencies. Our students have access to tablets and software programs, but what good are they when students can't hear?
I use headsets so students can record themselves as they practice their oral language development such as reciting poems or chants, reading fluency as they become emergent readers, or responding to questions orally, giving students motivation and excitement as they listen to the recording of themselves.
My students deserve to be empowered learners. They need access to basic technology hardware such as audio headsets, that support their ability to construct knowledge, produce creative artifacts and create meaningful learning experiences for themselves and others.
