My students need Berenstain Books to practice reading at their reading level. They love these books and will enjoy having them in our classroom library.

My Students

My third graders are hungry for books! They have developed a love for books in the Berenstain Bears book series. These timeless books were first written over 50 years ago but they still captivate our young readers.The modern versions are printed to teach important current life lessons to our youth.

My 23 students are third graders from an inner city school in Cleveland, Ohio.

They are eager readers and have fallen in love with the Berenstain Bears books. They love to curl up in a bean bag or on the reading carpet to enjoy books on their level. Our school is working hard to create a warm, comfortable learning environment. Providing the students high interest books will help with this goal. Our students do not have books in their homes so they love to see all the books that are available to them at school. As their reading levels increase I need to offer more choices to keep them reading and growing.

My Project

With this collection of Berenstain Bears books my third graders will be reading with a buddy, reading alone, and taking them home to read with their families. They can show what they know after reading the book by taking an Accelerated Reader quiz and doing a book report, project or a book talk for the class. Reading all of these books will definitely increase their reading levels so they can soar to new heights and enjoy more books. The bonus of reading these books is that each book teaches a lesson while providing reading practice. The students will learn about a wide range of topics that will make them better people overall.

My students will be so excited to receive these books that my room will be buzzing with the sound of reading and discussions about books.

My students will become better readers, their vocabularies will grow, and they will be learning important life lessons to share with family and friends. Receiving these books will keep the passion for books alive in my third graders and they will be able to share that passion with friends and family.
