The Belly Fuels and Rules the Mind!

Help me give my students snacks which will give them the energy and motivation to learn during their long hours.

My Project

My 160 middle school scholars are lacking energy throughout the long day. The majority of my students have younger siblings which they are responsible for in the mornings and have no time nor arrive on time for breakfast. Classes run from 8-3 pm and most days until 4:15 pm with middle school lunchtime at 10:30 am. The students oftentimes do not eat lunch and then have recess directly after, leaving them hungry and too tired to learn in their next four classes.

Having handy snacks available will boost students' energy to stay awake and learn without having food/snacks on their minds.

These snacks will be accessible, in an in-class attached room, for students as needed to motivate them to want to come to school and participate in class.
