My Project
At my school site, we are dedicated to making sure EVERYONE excels. My teammate and I have created an incredible learning environment for our Tier 2 students. We call our room The BEE Hive! The BEE Hive is our intervention classroom. BEE in BEE Hive stands for Because Everyone Excels. We have seen an increase in students who are below grade level since the pandemic. Our goal is to teach needed literacy and math skills to our students in small groups. Our small group atmosphere helps these students catch up to their grade level and transition confidently back to full-time Tier 1 classroom instruction with no intervention. One touchscreen laptop would help us greatly with these amazing students so we can utilize interactive videos for new concepts. New concepts are introduced every week and reviewed daily with videos and games to reinforce concepts. This will also help with data collection to help individualize the needs of each student to better help them with the skills they need.
