This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are in an urban district, with every child receiving free lunch due to high poverty. Our school is in jeopardy of being taken over by the state. With a huge financial deficit, it makes it impossible to buy supplies directly through our school system.
Many of my kids have learning disabilities and benefit from hands-on activities at different levels, allowing me to differentiate their classwork.
These children deserve the very best to overcome the poverty cycle and allow them to be college-bound!
My Project
We need a dry erase board because the way my room was designed they did not use space efficiently. They also need hallway passes they won't lose and a retractable key chain.
The way my room was designed they had left a large portion of wall without any dry erase board yet there should be one so I can put notes down, information and exercises for my students.
This will allow me more space in my classroom and use of less paper boards to write on.
I also need hallway passes, bathroom passes and a nurse or office pass for the students making it easier for me and less use of paper passes. I hate to waste lined paper! Also, I will need a retractable key holder for my belt since I have numerous class keys for the science room.
