Help me give my students Clorox wipes, hand soap, paper towels, and snacks to stay healthy and ready to learn this school year!
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Cosans's classroom raised $249

My Students
Within my school, almost 90% of students live in poverty. While the school has initiatives that provide students with free breakfast, lunch, snacks, and weekend food bags, many students are unable to come to school with supplies and spend time in classrooms that are not fully equipped with necessary materials.
My fourth graders are resilient individuals who face many challenges when they leave school; although there are a variety of trials in the world, our classroom is a place of solace and success.
Fourth grade is a time where students have deep, clear feelings about school and the world around them - and they let those feelings be known! They are learners who dive into rigorous academic content and require a comfortable, predictable learning environment.
Every student deserves a quality education, and my fourth graders are no exception. They are kind, capable learners who amaze me by what they accomplish daily and throughout the school year.
My students deserve a classroom environment equipped with adequate materials that help them receive a quality education.
My Project
Students can't learn effectively unless their basic needs are met, and unfortunately many students at my school don't have all needs taken care of outside of school. School, and our classroom, can be one of the only stable places in their lives; I want to do everything that I can to make sure that our space is clean, engaging, and full of tools to help students succeed! I can't wait to kick off this school year, and want to have materials ready to help students after a summer that might not have been full of vacations and good times. Having these basic supplies will help my students be fully engaged in stations, STEM projects, and many exciting lessons throughout the year!
Lysol wipes, tissues, paper towels, and soap will be supplies that keep our classroom healthy throughout the entire year, while the snacks will fuel my students and take that barrier for learning away.
I have so many exciting STEM projects that I can't wait for my students to be engaged in - one of the biggest hits is demonstration where we read a story about the history of pollution of the James River in Richmond. As we discuss the pollutants, we physically add them to a jar of water that is clear at the beginning and very polluted and unable to drink at the end. Projects are messy, hands-on, and full of learning! The moments of understanding are priceless, and I would love to have these materials funded so that we can keep making messy memories as a class with easy cleanup! We appreciate your support so much!
